The Examination Section of any university is perhaps the most critical unit that is ultimately responsible for the credibility of the university as a whole. The Examination Section of YCMOU, headed by the Controller of Examinations presently handles over 300 examinations per year. On an average, 2,50,000 students appear for these examinations annually. All the pre and post examination work up to result declaration and the conferment of the degrees and diplomas through an annually held convocation fall within the purview of the Examination Section. Despite the voluminous work handled by this Section, the examination results of almost all the academic programmes are declared within the stipulated period of 45 days from the date of the last examination paper. Till date, 6,07,603 students have obtained Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees from YCMOU.
